Gut Health Products India — Vegan Probiotics
Gut Health Products in India — Probiotics & Fibre
Gut health has become a crowded shelf, much of it oversold. What is reasonably well supported is straightforward: dietary fibre, fermented foods and specific probiotic strains. This range covers vegan probiotic supplements, prebiotic fibre, fermented foods and drinks, and digestive teas and blends.
What actually matters on the label
- Strain, not just species — evidence attaches to specific strains (for example Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG), not to "probiotic" as a category. A label that names the full strain is a better label.
- CFU count and shelf life — the count should be guaranteed at expiry, not at manufacture. Indian summers are hard on live cultures, so check storage instructions.
- Vegan capsules — most conventional probiotic capsules use gelatin, and some use dairy-derived carriers.
- Prebiotic fibre — inulin, resistant starch and psyllium feed existing gut bacteria. Increase intake gradually; going too fast causes bloating.
- Fermented foods — unpasteurised kimchi, kombucha and kanji contain live cultures; pasteurised versions do not.
This is general information, not medical advice. If you have ongoing digestive symptoms, see a doctor rather than self-treating.
