Raaso makes the SOVI and TydiBowl range of household cleaners built on vinegar, baking soda, salt and citrus extracts rather than chlorine and harsh solvents. The range covers floor cleaner, dishwash liquid, multi-purpose surface spray, toilet cleaner, laundry liquid and oxygen-based laundry booster.

How to choose a home cleaner

• Read the actives, not the front label. A useful pack states what does the cleaning — acetic acid, citric acid, sodium percarbonate, plant-derived surfactants.
• Vinegar-based cleaners handle hard-water scale and soap film well, which matters across most Indian cities. Do not use them on natural stone such as marble or granite.
• Oxygen bleach (sodium percarbonate) brightens laundry without chlorine, so it will not yellow synthetics or leave a chlorine smell. It works best in warm water.
• Dilution ratio. Concentrates are cheaper per wash but only if you actually dilute them as directed.
• Fragrance. If anyone in the house has asthma or sensitive skin, pick the lowest-fragrance option in each format.
