Greenmeat Pepper Roast in its ready-to-eat form is a cooked side dish: plant-based pieces simmered with onion, ginger, garlic, green chilli and curry leaves, then finished with enough black pepper to carry the whole dish. Nothing is left for you to do beyond heating it. It is the version to keep for evenings when cooking is not happening.
Key Features
Ingredients

How to Use
Sauté in one or two teaspoons of plant-based oil, butter or ghee for two minutes, adding a little water and salt if you want more gravy. Alternatively, dip the sealed inner pouch in boiling water for two to three minutes, or microwave it for about a minute.

FAQs
How is this different from the instant pepper roast?
This one is already cooked. The instant version comes as separate curry cuts and gravy that you combine and simmer, which takes about ten minutes but gives you control over consistency.
What do I serve it with?
Rice, rotis, parathas or appam. It also works as a filling in a wrap.
How hot is it?
Peppery rather than chilli-hot, with a warmth that lingers. Most people find it medium.
Can I eat it straight from the pouch?
It is safe to, but the flavour is much better warm, and heating takes a minute.
