Know Your Tea
Untouched by modernisation, Orthodox tea is traditional, authentic black tea plucked & processed by hands, and was once highly prized during colonial times (hence named, Colonial Spring Black Tea). How do you know it's the first flush? When the leaves ooze a subtle green hue instead of the regular black color, it's a clear indication of them being the most tender product of the very first plucking of the harvest season. How does it feel? First Impression A bright golden yellow. Aroma Well-balanced, delicately rounded, and refreshing as if straight from the spring season. Tasting Notes The blend is astringent in nature along with hints of floral undernotes. With every sip, you can relish traditions.
How To Brew: Take around 2.5 gm of tea leaves in an empty cup. Pour 150-200 ml of hot water. Let it steep for 5-7 minutes. Strain and serve. Bonus Recipe: Enhance the flavour by adding honey to it. You may try adding milk to it to get a ticket to the colonial lifestyle.
